Vocal Separation for Incredible Audio Power

What is Vocal Separation?

Vocal Separation does two things: It removes the vocals or spoken words from an audio track and it creates a second audio track containing those vocals. This gives you a lot of flexibility when it comes to editing how the audio sounds, either the music, the vocals, or both!

KineMaster offers a lot of very sophisticated audio editing tools for free! Vocal Separator is just the latest in a long list of incredibly handy, easy to use audio editing features. Get it from the Asset Store in the Plug-ins category: Vocal Separation > Vocal Separator.

With the plug-in installed, you can tap on any audio track and then tap Vocal Separator in the tool panel that opens on the right side of the Editing screen.

What can it do?

Vocal Separation lets you make edits to your music and vocals separately, whether that’s layering duplicated vocals with pitch adjustments, adding your own cover, or fixing interview narration. There are lots of ways to use the Vocal Separator, especially in combination with other KineMaster audio tools like stereo channels, EQ bands, Reverb, Voice Changer, and more!

1. Make a Cover

Remove the vocals from the original song and delete (or mute) the vocal track. Then record your own vocals with the REC tool. You can duplicate your track for rounds or collaborate with friends for multi-part songs by sharing your project’s .kine file with KineCloud.

2. Create a Lyric Video

Extract the vocals and run Auto-Captions, another free plug-in available on the KineMaster Asset Store, you can quickly produce an immersive lyric video.

3. Remixes and Mashups

Cut, duplicate, and move parts of your audio tracks to create something entirely new (and fun to listen to). Layering, looping, adding SFX and samples is a snap with KineMaster.
